Expert Encounter: State Tel In-Person

In partnership with the Innovation Station, we’ll be hosting a second “Expert Encounter evening. With 25 years of experience, Mark Evans of StateTel is an expert in telecommunications. Come hear him talk about how to grow a fiber optic network that is now 350 MILES long!
Mr. Evans is a graduate of Albany Academy and Siena College. He became an EMT in college and a paramedic after graduating. He has a 16-year career in EMS and has been the President of Greene County Paramedics for 17 years after serving 20 years on the Board of Directors. In addition, he has been an active firefighter for 25 years. Mark is Vice President of the State Telephone Company, which was started in 1909 by his great grandfather. He has worked for the State Telephone Company for 25 years. Mark was on the Town Board of Coxsackie before being elected Mayor of the Village of Coxsackie in 2009.
Thank you to the Ravena Innovation Station for organizing this STEM career exploration event designed to offer young people the opportunity to learn about STEM careers from experts in their fields.
